Coton Colors Company is currently seeking a Finance Manager for our Corporate Office & Design Center located in Tallahassee, FL.
JOB OVERVIEW:
The candidate selected for this role will have responsibility for managing the financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles to support strategic decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and drive financial performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (but are not limited to):
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to provide actionable insights.
- Conduct variance analysis to monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Oversee and manage month-end period close checklist
- Establish a process for expense management and implement company-wide
- Partner with senior leadership to develop financial strategies and business plans.
- Provide financial guidance on cost-saving measures, investments, and profitability improvement.
- Support decision-making for capital investments, new projects, and resource allocation.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results to stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
- Optimize working capital and manage banking relationships.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and reporting standards.
- Identify financial risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with auditors and oversee internal controls.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with business objectives.
- Promote a culture of financial accountability across the organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (required).
- Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) preferred.
- 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.
- Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Attention to detail with a strategic mindset.
