Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently.
- Accurately process cash and credit transactions using the POS system.
- Handle cash with precision, ensuring all transactions are handled with accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, counters, and service areas.
- Assist with food preparation and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed.
- Provide menu recommendations and answer customer inquiries regarding food items.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred, particularly in a café or quick-service fast food restaurant setting.
- Strong cash handling skills with a basic understanding of retail math and basic math principles.
- Familiarity with a point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and culinary practices is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to enhance customer interactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
