IN HOUSE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing rehabilitative care to patients, assisting them in regaining their functional independence. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, implementing treatment plans and supporting patients in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, following treatment plans prescribed by Occupational Therapists.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and other required paperwork.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure coordinated care.
- Training and Education: Assist in training and educating patients, families, and caregivers on treatment techniques and home exercise programs.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining equipment, and organizing treatment areas.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of rehabilitation techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
