Cottage Children's Medical Center is seeking a full-time board-eligible/board-certified Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician to join our busy practice. We provide comprehensive inpatient services at Cottage Children's Medical Center, outpatient clinics in Santa Barbara, and satellite clinics throughout the region.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have completed a general pediatric residency, be fellowship-trained in pediatric infectious diseases, and possess experience in managing complex infectious cases in both ambulatory and inpatient settings. Responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating a wide range of pediatric infectious diseases, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and participating in resident education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage infectious diseases in pediatric patients
- Collaborate with pediatricians and specialists to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Conduct outpatient and inpatient consultations.
- Participate in the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Engage in teaching and mentoring of residents and medical students.
- Conduct research initiatives in pediatric infectious diseases.

Cottage Children's Medical Center Facilities:
As the only Pediatric Inpatient Facility with full pediatric inpatient and sub-specialist services between the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles, we provide state-of-the-art care with a 19-bed inpatient Pediatrics Ward, an 8-bed PICU, and a 22-bed NICU. Our services encompass emergency care, behavioral health, surgery, critical care, cardiology, and more. Our new Pediatric Residency program offers an opportunity to actively participate in resident education and train the next generation of physician leaders.
