South Coast Emergency Medical Group (SCEMG) is seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to staff the Emergency Departments at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital.
We are hiring for both full-time and part-time roles.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Minimum: PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT Valid California license as a Physician Assistant by the Physician Assistant Board; National certification granted after passing the PA National Certifying Exam administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants; Valid Drug Enforcement Agency license - DEA Schedule 2-5
NURSE PRACTITIONER Current State of California Registered Nurse license Current California Licensure and Certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the California State Board Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Emergency Nurse Practitioner California Furnishing License - Controlled Substances II Valid Drug Enforcement Agency license - DEA Schedule 2-5 American Heart Association (AHA)
Years of Related Work Experience
Minimum: One (1) year of experience as a Physician Assistant OR a Nurse Practitioner in an emergency department. Will consider candidates with extensive high acuity urgent care experience (3 years minimum).
Successful candidates must be comfortable working autonomously in a fast paced emergency department setting with ED physician collaboration.
