What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor Patient Navigator position at Cottage Health?
JOB PURPOSE Under the guidance of the Patient Navigator Manager, the Patient Navigator Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of their assigned pod / s within the centralized scheduling center.
Responsibilities include direct supervision, scheduling, training and motivating the Patient Navigators.
Provides direction, guidance and mentors staff while monitoring staff progress and performance.
Ensures compliance by implementing policies and procedures that align with Cottage best practices. QUALIFICATIONS All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently. LEVEL OF EDUCATION Minimum : Associate's Degree or equivalent (2 years applicable experience per year of education) Preferred : Bachelor's Degree CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Minimum : N / A Preferred : Process Improvement Methodology certification, Certified Revenue Cycle Rep or Certified Patient Access Specialist (HBI) TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Minimum : Basic MS Word, Outlook and Excel skills; proficient medical terminology and electronic health record system skills; 35 wpm keyboard 'typing speed. Preferred : MS Office Suite, Epic, and Workforce Management software skills. YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum : Two(2) years of Patient Access, medical scheduling, or hospitality customer service experience.
