Job Summary:
As the Director of Pharmacy, you will be responsible for the overall management of the hospital pharmacy. This includes planning, organizing, directing, and supervising all functions in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will collaborate with medical and nursing staff to ensure safe and effective drug therapy, maintain accurate drug records, and oversee purchasing and inventory management. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining a high standard of care for patients of all ages.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all pharmacy operations, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with legal standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate dispensing of medications to patients, collaborating with medical staff when necessary.
- Stay up to date on new drug regulations and legal aspects of pharmacy services.
- Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures to maintain high operational standards.
- Oversee the purchasing and inventory management of pharmaceuticals and related supplies.
- Participate in hospital-wide quality patient care initiatives, presenting quarterly quality assessment reports.
- Serve as an active member of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, addressing medication errors and adverse drug reactions.
- Perform the duties of a staff pharmacist as needed, including transcribing prescriptions, preparing IVs, and ensuring the accuracy of all medication orders.

Experience
Preferred- NH Licensed Registered Pharmacist
- Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
Education
Preferred- Bachelors or better
