Job Summary :
As a Staff Accountant , you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records by preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling bank statements, and managing daily cash reconciliations. You will assist in analyzing financial statements, preparing budgets, and responding to inquiries from various departments. This position requires at least 5 years of experience, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and strong organizational skills. You will work closely with senior management to provide valuable insights for both routine accounting tasks and special projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Report monthly statistics
- Prepare and post journal entries, including standard journal entries
- Reconcile bank statements
- Daily cash reconciliation
- Monthly GL account reconciliations
- Financial statement variance analysis
- Revenue and reimbursement analysis
- Prepare documents for internal and external audits
- Assist with budget preparation including analysis of current and anticipated expenditures and revenue to be included in budget
- Assist departments with budget questions
- Provide input and support for special projects, analysis and related requests of the Director of Finance and other members of senior management
