The RN Weekend Supervisor plays a vital role in achieving positive clinical outcomes, patient and family satisfaction, and employee engagement. Responsibilities include:
- Leading the clinical operations of the nursing units on assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, practice standards, and regulations
- Facilitating the implementation of the care delivery model and processes, mentoring staff, and coordinating with other departments
- Collaborating with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing staff, minimizing overtime, and agency personnel usage
- Participating in staff recruitment, new hire orientation, and recommending employee promotions, transfers, and terminations
To be successful, the ideal candidate must have:
- A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution; BSN preferred
- Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing
