Position Overview:
The Practice Manager plays a vital leadership role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of the hospital run smoothly and efficiently. This individual will manage staff, oversee financial and operational performance, and collaborate with the medical team to deliver high-quality care and an excellent client experience.
Strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of veterinary or healthcare operations are essential to thrive in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the hospital, ensuring exceptional service and patient care.
Supervise, train, and support staff in all departments; lead with empathy and accountability.
Manage hospital financials, including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, and inventory control.
Analyze financial reports and KPIs to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
Collaborate with the veterinarian(s) and department leads on strategic initiatives and hospital goals.
Develop and implement policies, SOPs, and staff scheduling to improve workflows and client satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
Handle client concerns and support a culture of open, respectful communication.
Participate in marketing efforts and community outreach to grow the hospital’s presence.
Qualifications:
3 years of veterinary, healthcare, or small business management experience.
Proven track record in financial management, budgeting, and P&L responsibility.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Proficiency in veterinary software (e.g., Cornerstone, AVImark, or similar) is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
CVPM certification is a plus but not required.
Pay Range: $70,000-80,000 BOE
