What You'll Do
You will oversee the procurement process, manage vendor relationships, and identify cost savings and process improvements opportunities. Your role will involve strategic planning, data analysis, and contract negotiation to ensure the highest quality and most cost-effective procurement practices.
Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
Vendor Management:
Vendor Management:
- Create and maintain a capabilities matrix for all vendors/subcontractors.
- Track centralized data points (contact information, payment terms, etc.).
- Develop key results reporting processes (service offering utilization, history, regional capabilities, capacity, quality, compliance).
- Develop a universal ranking system to evaluate vendors based on quality, price, and speed of delivery.
- Identify approved and non-approved vendors with explanations (contract and insurance issues, performance issues, etc.).
Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze current and potential vendors/suppliers/contractors to consolidate buying power and improve pricing.
- Provide KPI reporting to manage goals aligned with the organization’s vision.
- Prepare cost-benefit analysis reports for managerial review.
- Work with management to prioritize business needs.
Cost Saving and Contract Negotiation:
- Identify bottom-line cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze P&L and project/client data.
- Negotiate favorable contracts with selected vendors/suppliers.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic thinker with extensive experience in procurement, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex data sets and vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, finance, business, business administration, or accounting (MBA in supply chain management is advantageous).
- 5 years of experience in a centralized procurement role.
- Experience in building out a procurement department or working in a robust procurement organization.
