Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light duty / medium diesel engines and related systems in various types of vehicles and industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines and related components.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel vehicles.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to identify mechanical problems accurately.
- Repair or replace defective parts using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Weld components as necessary to repair or fabricate parts.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service quality.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during repairs or maintenance activities.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or Mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems.
- Experience in electrical systems related to diesel engines.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
