Position Summary
Prepares, cleans, and distributes hotel linens in accordance with company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following essential duties may be carried out with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Sorts, pre-treats, washes, dries, folds, and distributes linens according to company standards.
- Ensures washers and dryers operate properly, keeps equipment clean and informs management or maintenance of any malfunctions or problems.
- Stocks and maintains linen cart, supplies, and laundry area in a neat and organized manner.
- Exchanges buckets of chemicals according to product specifications and safety standards.
- Responds to requests from guests and hotel staff in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitors inventory of linens; determines and recommends stock replenishment.
- Monitors linens for possible contamination or pests and reports findings.
- Uses good judgment when working with used linens, employing safe work practices.
- Maintains a safe and professional image through appearance and dress.
- Follows all policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities Performed Occasionally
- May perform housekeeping duties such as stripping bed linens, delivering fresh linens, or cleaning guest rooms.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of general laundry cleaning principles, use of laundry products, and operation of standard laundry equipment.
- General knowledge of chemical safety, bloodborne pathogen safety.
- Ability to lift bundles of linen weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. (such as wheeled carts)
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to extend arms over head, bend, twist, and stoop to perform tasks.
- Ability to crouch, kneel, and reach to perform tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and employees.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior hotel laundry or housekeeping experience preferred.
