Cottonwood Feeders LLC is a custom cattle growing facility located outside of Cunningham Kansas. We specialize in growing/developing beef cattle for feed yards and growing custom replacement dairy heifers for our dairy customers.
Cottonwood Feeders is looking for team-oriented and accountable individuals to join our team. Room for advancement and growth in a great workplace for a motivated individual willing to learn. Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) knowledge/experience is helpful but not required, we will train the right person.
Responsibilities:
· Monitor cattle by walking/riding pens to identify sick, injured or stressed animals, remove sick or injured animal from pens to be medically treated.
· Assist in the medical treatment of sick or injured cattle by following an established medical treatment plan.
· Assist with receiving, unloading, sorting and processing cattle.
· Assist with processing outgoing cattle, including loading.
· Move cattle from pen to pen as instructed by the feedlot supervisors to rotate cattle according to production schedules.
· Assist with feeding operation using the equipment provided.
· Assist with pen maintenance using the equipment provided.
· Assist with feed/hay hauling using the equipment provided.

Cross training is a cornerstone of our multi division company. We work diligently to place our team in a position to succeed daily, while also growing their value to our team through gaining experience and knowledge of other divisions within the company.
This is a full-time position with an average workload of 50 hours per week. Starting pay is $19-22 per hour based on previous experience and professional references provided. Training and continued education will be given to all hires. Some experience with cattle and equipment is desired but not required.
This is an agriculture related position, all hours are at standard wage, no time and half offered. In addition, Health Insurance and 401(k) retirement plan with company match are available after a probationary waiting period based on start date. Paid vacation is provided after 1 year of full-time employment.
