Cashier

Job Summary
We are a small staff looking to add 1-2 cashiers to our business. We believe that our work environment remains a happy and healthy place for our employees because each member of the team has been thoughtfully chosen. Duties

• Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Handle cash transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products or services to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is properly displayed.
• Assist with inventory management by restocking shelves and monitoring product levels as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or cash handling is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of retail math to manage transactions effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases.
• Experience in upselling products or services is advantageous.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the store schedule.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.

• Some of these hours will include opening and closing shifts, openers need to be at the store at 8:30AM and closers will be here until 9:30PM Sun-Thurs and 11:30PM Fri and Sat.
• This position requires that the cashier is able to bend down low to reach products that are in the cases.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 17 – 35 per week
