Certification Details BLS ACLS PALS NRP Job Details Coulee Medical Center is a 25-bed Trauma Level IV Critical Access Hospital serving the healthcare needs of rural Washington community. Job Requirements Required : BLS Required : ACLS Preferred : PALS Preferred : NRP Must have experience with telemetry and drips Must be willing to be flexible in assignments and work all beds / populations with variation in census Schedule Information 12 hour shifts, 6a-6 : 30p, 6p-6 : 30a Typically every other weekend Will fill in for holidays if there is a need Scheduler will complete schedule 4 weeks at a time Unit Specific Information May be assigned to the Code Team May float to ER if experienced May have to help with post partum caring for well mom and baby Scrub Color : Any color as long as clean and professional Additional Details of Beds : 25 Average census is 12-15 Nurse : Patient Ratios : Acute : 1 : 4-5. Non-skilled swing / skilled swing : 1 : 6-8 Common diagnoses : CHF, COPD, General Medical floor patients, SDS patients, rehab patients, wound care, skilled nursing patients Will mix some of their own medications Are RNs required to titrate drips : Yes Common titratable : Insulin, Diltiazem, Nitro, Heparin Charge Nurse on each shift, Nurse Manager is available for Charge Nurse Are there nurse aids / patient care techs on this unit : Yes, 1 : 8-10 RT Equipment : No RT, RN's responsible for respiratory treatments and oxygen management Are there tele / monitor techs on this unit : No monitor techs.
