Position Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will serve as the second-in-command within the organization, acting as a strategic partner to the CEO and the leadership team. The COO will drive operational efficiency, oversee all aspects of business operations, and implement scalable systems that align with the company's long-term growth strategy.
This role requires a dynamic leader with a track record of scaling businesses, optimizing processes, and managing cross-functional teams in wellness, healthcare, or consumer goods industries. The ideal candidate will be a visionary problem solver, process-driven executive, and a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership & Business Efficiency
- Oversee daily operations across all departments, including supply chain, logistics, finance, customer experience, and product development.
- Identify and implement best-in-class operational systems to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and ensure seamless execution of business strategies.
- Develop and enforce key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational efficiency.
2. Strategic Planning & Business Growth
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to define and execute long-term business strategies, expansion plans, and revenue growth initiatives.
- Drive scalability and operational effectiveness, ensuring that all departments are aligned with company objectives.
- Lead expansion initiatives into new markets, product categories, and innovative wellness solutions.
3. Financial & Performance Management
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and P&L management, ensuring the company meets its profitability goals.
- Work closely with the finance team to optimize resource allocation and drive financial efficiency.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction.
4. Leadership & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish leadership development programs to ensure team members are equipped to scale with the company’s growth.
- Lead by example, championing a results-driven and mission-focused workplace culture.
5. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all products, services, and operational processes meet regulatory compliance standards in the health and wellness industry.
- Implement rigorous quality control and risk management protocols to uphold the company’s reputation for excellence.
6. Customer Experience & Community Engagement
- Enhance customer experience initiatives by ensuring seamless order fulfillment, customer service excellence, and engagement strategies that foster brand loyalty.
- Oversee customer feedback channels, leveraging insights to refine operational strategies and improve product offerings.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience in operational leadership roles, preferably within eCommerce, wellness, healthcare, or consumer goods industries.
- Proven track record of scaling businesses, improving operational efficiencies, and driving revenue growth.
- Strong expertise in supply chain management, financial operations, and team leadership.
- Experience leading and growing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Deep understanding of regulatory compliance in the wellness or healthcare sector.
- Exceptional problem-solving, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for health and wellness innovation.
