EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Required :
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.Preferred :
Leadership or Administrative ExperienceLaw Enforcement background or DegreeExperience in public relations with demonstrated successDemonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in communications, and public relations activitiesMust possess strong creative, strategic, analytic, organizational, and personal skillsDemonstrated capabilities as a manager of both people and projects, including the ability to establish priorities and allocate resources properlyExperience developing and managing budgetsFamiliarity with school concepts, practices, and proceduresDemonstrated successful experience writing press releases, reports, data collection, and interviewingStrong oral and written communication skills requiredWell-organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to work under pressureSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptableESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :

Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.Coordinate school safety compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by studying existing and new requirements and overseeing and enforcing school-wide adherence to requirementsCoordinate a district-wide security / school safety program, policies, and procedures. This includes establishing internal controls, and external controls, conducting inspections as appropriate, and reporting all situations to supervisors for constant improvement of the system Coordinates safety planning and practice to support the academic processes of each school working with building administration to ensure completionAttend essential training and critical meetings for continued learning and development of the best practices for school safetyWork directly with the district's communications director to develop the public messages and communications needed for district personnel and all other stakeholders. This includes news releases, web page content, special events, etc..Ensure all documentation such as manuals and safety plans are updated and shared with appropriate stakeholdersAssist in the development and implementation of security plans for special events.Advises and assists building administrators and SRO in matters involving criminal activities on the school campusesTHIS POSITION IS OPEN UNTIL FILLED, PLEASE APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.Please apply at www.cb-schools.org / careers.
