Summary
Council for Airport Opportunity (CAO) is a non-profit organization that supports the airport community with its talent acquisition needs. CAO has a proven track record for sourcing and staffing the right talent for top companies at JFK, Newark, and LaGuardia Airports. The Taxi Dispatcher will work onsite at JFK Airport.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain an orderly flow of passengers and taxicabs and oversee the movement and expeditious loading of Taxis; prevent soliciting of customers.
- Maintain an orderly taxi line ensuring that all drivers are at the taxi stand line remain within the immediate proximity to their vehicles.
- Advise customers of rules and regulations pertinent to the trip including the correct fare and meter rates to their destination.
- Cooperate with Port Authority Police, Airport and/or PABT Supervisors and taxi commission agents in connections with the performance of the dispatcher duties provided herein.
- Be familiar with, adhere to and enforce Taxi and Limousine commission rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Must be reliable and available to work varied hours, weekends, and holidays
