Description of Work: Due to our continuous growth within the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO) at Customs and Border Protection we are seeking an Entry Level Data Reporting Engineer. The candidate is expected to demonstrate the ability to draft reports using SAP Business Objects, Qlik, Microsoft Power BI and provide information reporting to the functional team supporting OCMO. The Entry Level Data Reporting Engineer will support the reporting team by authoring scheduled and ad-hoc reports according to policy and procedural guidance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Work with the customer to gather specifications for data, report, and dashboard requirements.
· Work with the customer and reporting team to coordinate scheduling of automated reports.
· Design, develop, test, and present complex reports utilizing SAP Business Objects based on user requirements.
· Design, develop, test, and present ad-hoc reports with short notice based on user requirements.
· Design, develop, test, and present complex dashboards utilizing Qlik Sense and Microsoft Power BI based on user requirements.
· Gather and normalize data from multiple data sources.
· Work independently and/or under general supervision.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or similar field, or 1 years of development experience with SAP Business Objects including Web Intelligence or Qlik Sense dashboards.
· Proficiency in use of query and reporting analysis tools.
· Experience with troubleshooting issues with reports and/or dashboards.
· Experience with migrating reports and enhancing report performance.
· Comprehensive knowledge of Data Reporting methodologies and deliverables.
· Excellent communication and consulting skills with ability to work independently.
· Prior work with DHS, DOD, and/or security clearances both active and inactive a plus.
· Ability to pass a DHS Full Scope Background Investigation.
