Position Summary : The Account Manager is a proactive and results-driven individual who will act as a point of contact for his / her clients. The Account Manager will build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with his / her contacts, always striving to find the products which best fit the individual needs of the client. This individual will be responsible for managing key client accounts, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies. This role requires a combination of customer service skills, strong sales acumen, and the ability to upsell and cross-sell to existing and new clients.
This position is responsible for business development and all aspects of sales between the customer and CSCMP, serving as the primary point of contact to the member with a focus on selling CSCMP’s additional products, such as education / certification and EDGE Conference registrations. This position will also be responsible for working across functions and leveraging the CSCMP network to drive improvements and opportunities that align with CSCMP’s goals. Ensuring customer satisfaction with external and internal partners, providing timely and accurate communication will be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Generate new and renewed business opportunities (sales)
- Sell and manage sponsorship opportunities to our Roundtable communities
- Attend local Roundtable events to engage and sell membership
- Develop an understanding of current business, industry, and supply chain needs
- Create effective solutions and innovative ideas to grow membership and reach never engaged companies and new potential strategic customers
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and explain product value
- Act as the liaison between Corporate Member accounts and internal teams
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Monitor personal monthly sales performance toward department revenue goals
- Develop a personal commitment to professional development in areas of customer relationship building, sales and account management, problem-solving, and other areas to ensure growth and success
- Establish rapport, anticipate needs, and maintain long-lasting relationships with CSCMP clients and members
- Resolve complaints and prevent additional issues by improving processes
- Keeping accurate records pertaining to inventory and account notes
- Conduct business / client reviews to identify ways to improve service and expand the benefits
