What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Maintenance Worker position at Council on Aging, Inc., serving St. Clair County?
Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of facility indoors and out-of-doors, as well as room set-up and take-down for programs and activities.
1. Daily and weekly cleaning as required for program areas, restrooms, hallways and offices.
2. Monitor daily calendar and set-up program areas accordingly.
3. Emptying of trash receptacles.
4. Keep sidewalks and driveways free of dirt and debris and snow. Maintain center landscaping.
5. Knowledge of CoA facilities mechanical systems.
6. Keep floors, rugs and carpets vacuumed and cleaned.
7. Flexibility in work schedule.
Experience in janitorial, plumbing, electrical and HVAC preferred. Honesty, dependability, empahty for seniors, and communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
