Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any changes in health status.
- Support residents with memory care needs, including those with dementia, by implementing appropriate care strategies.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of residents by maintaining a clean and organized living environment.
- Uphold resident rights by promoting dignity, respect, and independence in all interactions.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in resident conditions to the appropriate staff members.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or personal care assistance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding resident information.
- Familiarity with assisted living environments, resident rights, and home community care practices is a plus.
- Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions and preferences of residents.
