The Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Adult Treatment Services to oversee and enhance our behavioral health programs serving adults in Santa Barbara County. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, health care administration or related field.
- Minimum two years of experience in program management and/or in supervising staff.
- LMFT, LCSW, AMFT, ACSW, or AOD certification (or nearing completion).
- Knowledge of individual/group counseling, chemical dependency, pharmacology, and withdrawal symptoms.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with diverse clients and community partners.
- Strong demonstrated leadership experience.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- High standard of professional ethics and ability to always uphold a professional image of the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse and Programs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and evaluate all outpatient and inpatient adult treatment programs, including Project Recovery, Perinatal services, SB-38 (DUI), and Adult Residential Treatment with Withdrawal Management.
- Supervise and manage staff, including licensed and non-licensed professionals, interns, and support staff, ensuring they meet training and oversight requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards, including Title 22 and SB County Behavioral Wellness policies, and prepare required reports.
- Represent CADA on multi-agency committees, coordinating alcohol, drug, and mental health services.
- Deliver presentations to external organizations and internal CADA programs to advocate for services.
- Support Site Supervisors and Managers, foster collaboration, and address work-related challenges.
- Ensure timely and well-documented client services and coordinate with funding sources.
- Stay current on evidence-based practices for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders; provide staff training as needed.
- Coordinate outreach to alumni, the recovery community, and other stakeholders for ongoing program support.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
This is a full-time, exempt position, with benefits including health, dental, vision and life insurance; retirement contribution; and paid time off (vacation, sick, holiday). Some opportunity for scheduling flexibility, to be agreed upon by the Executive Director with programmatic needs in mind.
Salary range is $83,200-$101,825, dependent upon prior training and experience, with higher compensation potential for a Spanish/English candidate.
