Join the Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse (CADA) as a Youth Treatment Coordinator, making a meaningful impact on adolescents in recovery in Santa Maria and Lompoc.
This role provides therapy, clinical oversight, and leadership for adolescents in recovery, ensures high-quality care, supervises staff, and maintains compliance with behavioral health standards to support youth and their families.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Licensed (or Registered Associate) as an MFT, LCSW, LPCC, or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in substance use counseling or therapy (preferably with adolescents).
- Strong knowledge of counseling techniques, substance abuse assessment, case planning, and therapeutic interventions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage professionally with clients from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
- Experience supervising staff and ensuring clinical compliance preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy for youth struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Assess clients, establish medical necessity, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with families and support systems.
- Supervise and train therapists (Associates and trainees) in Santa Maria and Lompoc offices, ensuring quality of care and adherence to program standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including treatment plans, case notes, and required reports in electronic health records.
- Review therapist assessments, progress notes, and ASAM evaluations, providing feedback and guidance.
- Lead team meetings, monitor therapist caseloads, and ensure productivity goals are met.
- Support program operations, including scheduling, reporting, and distributing program information.
- Participate in DBT training and accreditation (if assigned to Daniel Bryant Adolescent Program).
- Represent CADA in the community through trainings, meetings, and collaborative efforts.
- Stay current on research and best practices in substance use treatment and youth mental health care.
This position is full-time, 40 hours per week. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm.
Compensation is dependent on the level of prior experience and qualifications, with a salary range of $25-$28 per hour, and a rate increase potential for bilingual (Spanish/English).
