POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for overseeing both the technical and managerial aspects of the infrastructure systems at the core and spanning the entire district to include design, installation, maintenance, and retirement. Works closely with the Director of Information Technology to insure the policies and programs of the Superintendent and the School Board are carried out in an efficient and uniform manner.
Annual Salary:
$113,500
DEGREE/CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent knowledge and experience
- CompTIA Net , CCNP, or equivalent experience
- CompTIA Security , CCNP Security or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum five (5) years hands on experience designing, configuring, installing and maintaining firewalls (Cisco, Fortigate), routers (Cisco, FOrtinet), switches (Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquity), access points (Ubiquity, Fortinet) and other enterprise appliances (Infoblox, NetMRI, Fortinet)
- Minimum five (5) years managing and maintaining a virtual infrastructure (VMWare, HyperV) to include server chassis’ (Cisco, Lenovo) and SAN’s (Fujitsu).
- Minimum five (5) years experience working with network access control technologies (ClearPass, FortiAuthenticator, etc.)
- Minimum five (5) years experience managing and maintaining a Microsoft Active Directory environment
- Minimum five (5) years experience utilizing infrastructure management tools like Microsoft SCCM, JAMF, Ubiquity Unified Manager, FortiManager, etc.
- Minimum five (5) years experience managing and maintaining enterprise archive/backup solutions such as Datto, Barracuda, etc.
- Minimum five (5) years experience managing distributed voice systems such as FortiVoice, Cisco Call Manager
COMPETENCIES:
- Design and execute short plus long term strategic plans to assure infrastructure capacity attains current and future needs.
- Develop, execute and oversee procedures, policies and related training plans for project management and infrastructure administration.
- Manage and establish priorities for maintenance, design, development and analysis of entire infrastructure systems inclusive of LANs, WANs, internet, security and wireless implementations.
- Supervise employees and lead, direct and utilize knowledge on best practices in area related to infrastructure.
- Test server performance plus provide network presentation statistics.
- Report and prepare strategies to maintain server infrastructure.
- Ensure apt security levels on network, infrastructure and servers are maintained.
- Oversee operational costs, conduct near along with long-term financial estimates for expanded functionality and user base.
- Direct and administer conditional network analysts plus technicians to provide leadership and direction.
- Ensure to practice IT asset management inclusive of component inventory maintenance and associated documentation.
- Perform feasibility studies for different upgrade projects, conversions and improvements.
- Develop, execute and maintain robust and thorough patch management policies and procedures.

REQUIRED PAPERWORK: In order to begin employment in any PA public school, all employees are required to complete mandatory paperwork. Background employment clearances must be completed within the last year to be valid and include:
- PA State Police Clearance (Act 33)
- Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
- FBI Fingerprints (Act 114) IndentoGo
Some additional paperwork includes Arrest/Conviction Report form, PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act 168), physician’s health form and recently completed TB test.
