What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Licensed Mental Health Counselor position at Counseling Anchorage?
Counseling Anchorage is Anchorage’s first outpatient clinic specializing in the treatment of eating disorders and co-occurring mood disorders. We are now hiring a pre-licensed mental health professional for a team approach to treating eating disorders and co-occurring issues such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. This person will be familiar with evidenced-based treatment for mood disorders and trauma and have basic knowledge of treatment for eating disorders with a keen desire for professional development in this area.
Our team believes in the efficacy of professional collaboration, weight-inclusive treatment approaches, and holistic, evidence-based treatment to provide the best possible outcomes for our clients.
The mental health professional in this position will be a member of our multidisciplinary clinical team, providing counseling and case management (when necessary) in an outpatient setting. The person in this position is responsible for the clinical, diagnostic, and administrative activities that come with clinical work. Individual and group supervision is provided. Individuals in this position are expected to work towards licensure.
Some evening (after 5:00pm) or weekend availability is required. We offer the potential for hybrid work for clinicians who want the flexibility to work from home via telehealth. Some in-office hours are required.
This position is for a full-time employee working 32-40 hours per week.
