What are the responsibilities and job description for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) position at Counseling and Consultation Services, Inc?
Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) is a professional certified by the Behavioral Analyst Certification Board who uses scientific principles to help patients increase prosocial behaviors and life skills while decreasing problematic and dangerous behaviors. The BCBA’s primary role is to study behavior patterns and develop treatment plans to help the patient thrive, to analyze how the patient’s motivations affect their behavior and to then create an environment that facilitates progress.
The BCBA job duties include, but are not limited to:
Duties
- Conducting assessments to address certain behaviors, their functions, and alternatives.
- Developing behavioral plans that establish goals for intervention and strategies for achieving them.
- Administering interventions using the Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) approach.
- Helping clients learn life skills to enable them to live more independently.
- Reassessing and revising behavioral plans as needed to continue progress.
- Advising clients’ family members and caregivers about progress and providing information about how to reinforce therapy when the BCBA is not present.
- Updating client records and preparing progress reports.
- Keeping up with advancements in ABA theory and therapeutic methods.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team of child welfare workers, therapists, medical professionals, teachers, parents/care givers to understand long term goals for the child as a whole when necessary.
- Educate therapeutic foster parents and be willing to work to achieve goals for children at varying age and developmental levels.
- Working to add input to foster care and community outpatient services overall treatment approach.
- Create and improve training materials for the programs model as needed.
- Be willing to work in multiple environments to include office, schools, homes, and residential treatment settings.
Maintain Board Certification, professional demeanor, and represent CCS/SSYTS with the highest degree of professionalism

Pay: $62,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
