What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at COUNSELING CENTER?
This position requires someone who is honest, hard-working, a good multi-tasker, and able to be pleasant and calm under mild pressure, ( Bilingual English/ Spanish is a preferred) . You should know the rules and policies related to HIPPA, and medical office related guidelines. You must understand and be able to verify insurance. Also, after training is complete, candidate should be able to work independently.
Specifically, this position will assist psychiatric providers in getting vitals, calling in orders to pharmacies, collecting data, histories and scheduling, rescheduling and answering phone calls specific to work with providers in office and remote. assisting with phone calls, authorization, benefits verification, referrals, office administrative duties.
The job involves, reception, answering the phone, making appointments, verifying insurance, checking referrals, creating charts, filing, and scanning. You must know how to work with an EHR (electronic health records). The candidate will support a team of clinicians as they support people of all ages, managing behavioral, emotional, and psychological issues in an outpatient setting. The clientele is a mixture of adults, children and couples. Basic house keeping, lifting of 45 lbs or less, various task as required.

- 5PM /7pm, rotation later end/start availability is important, rotation of some Saturdays.
