Primary responsibilities are client assessments, treatment, and referral source for other staff members and other agencies. Characteristics and competencies consistent with this agency’s code of ethics and commitment to the vision and mission statement are required for this position.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as primary therapist and carry an active caseload utilizing psychotherapy, individual and group, when appropriate.
- Maintain treatment and administrative records, if appropriate, for each client assigned.
- Prepare clinical reports on patient status and progress for submission to appropriate source.
- Complete diagnostic assessments of clients assigned.
- Conduct intake interviews and refers to other staff when appropriate.
- May provide services to SMI clients which include assessment, case management, and crisis intervention.
- Acquire familiarity with other human service agencies in order to expedite referrals to and from those agencies.
- Follow-up with clients to ensure continuity of care and proper management of treatment.
- Provide consultation and educational services.
- Provision of prevention activities through groups, community presentations, and other activities as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services.
JOB RELATIONSHIP: Responsible To: The Director of Outpatient Clinical Services.
