We have openings at our YES Tulsa location. The role of Therapist requires a master’s degree in counseling, social work, or other mental health-related field from an accredited graduate school. Must be licensed in the State of Oklahoma. (LPC, LMFT, LBP, LCSW, LMSW.)

Therapist II : $82,000.00 / year

Counseling & Recovery Services of Oklahoma provides mental health and substance abuse treatment, physical health care management and wellness services for over 5,000 children and adults annually. We are Oklahoma's only community mental health center certified in the Sanctuary model of care. Using this model, the agency provides trauma-informed care helping to create an environment of safety, identify and manage emotions, process loss and help clients create a future of growth and change. Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Must have working knowledge of DSM-V.
  • Ability to diagnose, intervene, and effectively refer persons in need of mental health services. Knowledge of and ability to apply Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in practice.
  • Ability to evaluate situations and adopt an effective course of action, to delegate responsibilities, organize and presents facts effectively.
  • Must posses effective crisis management skills, behavioral health resources, ability to provide trauma-informed care and a commitment to the Sanctuary Model components and philosophies.
  • Must posses good working knowledge of community social service resources for referral, linkage and advocacy.
  • Example of Position Responsibilities :

  • Conducts initial request for services (contact / phone screening) to visit with client's and their families to explore needs and resources of those requesting services. Completes the required documentation and / or referral to allow the individual / family to receive the appropriate care. Assists client / family in development of a crisis / safety plan and referral to other levels of care as needed and appropriate.
  • Will provide clinical counseling / behavioral health care services to individuals and families admitted to the Urgent Recovery Center (URC) on a consistent and regular basis throughout their stay. Services provided will be in line with education, training and / or experience.
  • Be able to engage the client in emotionally intelligent manner so as to enhance positive rapport and facilitate future positive interactions.
  • Refer a client to the appropriate mental health or substance abuse treatment facility when needed and follow up to ensure the client receives needed care.
  • Will provide direct services to clients needing URC evaluation and admission services.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a working knowledge of CCBHC program standards, including maintaining up-to-date reports to ensure CCBHC standards are being followed.
  • Other Duties : Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director, Clinical Director and / or Executive.

    Physical Requirements : Must be able to move from location to location, bending, stooping, lifting 25 pounds, communicate clearly, prepare written communications, present information to other employees, process complex information within established procedures / programs, enter data to various programs. Must be able to climb stairs and access non-handicapped equipped residences / facilities.
