We have openings at our Yale Clinic and our Sand Springs Clinic. The role of a Supervising Physician and Medical Provider requires a Physician to be licensed (or able to obtain licensure) in Oklahoma with current DEA Number or ability to obtain immediately. Preferred Board Certification in Psychiatry or experience prescribing psychiatric medications. Will consider board certified Family Medicine applicants. Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

We are Oklahoma's only community mental health center certified in the Sanctuary model of care. - Review condition of agency clients referred to medication clinic and determine efficacy of intervention with medication.
- Prescribe medications for clients, as needed, in keeping with accepted clinical practice of Psychiatry and consistent with credentials.
- Record client contacts in medical records and agency mechanisms for tracking, billing, and reporting client services on a timely basis and meeting standards of care.
- Supports and promotes a service environment for individuals in need of behavioral health and/or co-occurring services that is recovery focused, welcoming, and attentive to the needs of individuals who may have experienced trauma in their lives.
- Explains medication effects and side-effects to consumer and/or guardian.
- Evaluates all available clinical data (including laboratory and other instrumental reports) pertaining to consumers' physical status and addresses compliance regarding any laboratory testing.
- May provide day-time call for the Youth Evaluation Service and or CALM Center.
- Provide consultation, support, and monitoring of delivery of medical care by providers through direct consultation and monitoring.
- a. Provide medical supervision for assigned nurse practitioners as per State guidelines. This would involve endorsement on license.
- b. Provide individual supervision for each assigned nurse practitioner/prescriber one-time minimum per month or as agreed upon by the Program Director and Clinical Director.
- Be available to consult and advise clinical staff, as necessary, in the provision of services and client care issues when a medical opinion is required/requested.
- Provide consultation for identification of performance measures and controls for clinical quality assurance.
- Collaborate and help ensure medical services and operations follow all applicable regulatory and licensing agencies.
- Promote provider support for diagnostic and E&M level of care accuracy, adherence with corporate compliance plan.
- Attending all necessary collaboration meetings, for instance, once a month Medication Clinic Team meeting and attend individual supervisions with CRS supervisor once a month.
- Support and promote a service environment for individuals in need of behavioral health and/or co-occurring services that are recovery focused, welcoming, and attentive to the needs of individuals who may have experienced trauma in their lives.
- Be knowledgeable about and use Sanctuary tools and SELF with clients and colleagues as appropriate.
- To schedule clients according to needs of agency and consistent with standards of practice as well as meeting productivity expectations. Abide by established protocols, policies, and procedures of the agency and Federal and State regulatory agencies.
