Metal Fabricator - Day Shift - Fridays off at 11am

Position Summary: The Metal Fabrication employee will be responsible for setting up and operating machines to cut, punch, machine, bend, insert, weld and prepare metal.

• Prepares and operates fabrication equipment such as lasers, punches, mills, brakes, insertion, spot welder, saw and laser welder to fabricate and construct metal components.
• Completes quality checks on completed work, to verify it conforms to specifications.
• Observes machine operation to detect machine malfunction and/or work defects.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

· Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before other employees.

Mathematical Ability:

· Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
