What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Operator position at Country Boy Brewing?
Country Boy Brewing was founded in 2012 by four native Kentuckians for one simple reason – To make the best damn beer in America. In a few short years, we have gone on from our humble Lexington operation to add a production facility, restaurant and tap room in the rolling hills of beautiful Georgetown, KY. With two facilities, comes the need for more Country Boys and Girls to join our team.
Position: Utility – Georgetown and Lexington facility
Supervisor: Production Manager / Assistant Production Manager
Hours: Full-time.
Pay: Hourly Position. This is a 40 hour a week position. Any overtime must be pre-approved by Production Manager / CBB Partners.
Bonus: To be determined based on performance.
The Utility position will assist in various tasks at our Lexington and Georgetown facilities. These will include working on the canning line, the bottling line, washing kegs and kegging, folding case boxes, various cleaning tasks. They will also have opportunity to train in various parts of the brewery. The Packaging Assistant is expected to be punctual and self-motivated. They should contribute to a healthy and positive environment for their shift.
Requirements
Daily Duties, Functions, Responsibilities:
-Assist in Setting up, Sanitizing, Operating, and cleaning up our Wild Goose canning line at our Georgetown Production facility.
-Have a working knowledge of the kegging and keg washing operations.
-Ability to follow orders with a positive attitude.
-Follow all safety procedures.
-Periodic handling of hazardous chemicals.
-Assist with maintenance and repairs when necessary.
-Follows daily and weekly cleaning schedules to maintain a clean working environment.
-Attend production meetings when necessary.
-Represents Country Boy Brewing at beer festivals and events when appropriate.
-Other duties as assigned by Production Manager. These job descriptions may be updated as the company grows and management sees fit.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Working knowledge of practices, methods, tools, and equipment used in production packaging.
-Knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions associated with work.
-Have a positive attitude.
-Ability to stand for a prolonged amount of time.
-Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
-Ability to drive a forklift (Training can be provided)
-Ability to lift 50 pounds and to occasionally maneuver 165 pound kegs.
-Minimum of 1-year experience working in a packaging environment, preferably in a brewery or similar production facility.
-High School Diploma
-Must be 21 years of age.
