Bartender/Server

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our vibrant team at a State Park restaurant/bar setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving drinks & food and ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable experience. Carl's at Mahoney restaurant is a family friendly environment with outdoor seating on the patio & deck.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and delivering drinks promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Assist in managing inventory by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to management.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff during banquet events to ensure seamless service for guests.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service guidelines.
• Stay informed about new drink recipes, trends in the food industry, and changes in local laws regarding alcohol service.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere for guests.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink prices accurately.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as nightclubs or banquet settings is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• A passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to help create memorable experiences for guests.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.05 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
