Job Summary
We are seeking a hardworking, efficient, and team-oriented Food Runner to join our team. As an essential link between the kitchen and dining room, you will ensure timely and accurate delivery of food to members and guests while assisting servers in maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. The ideal candidate is attentive, proactive, and thrives in both slow and fast-paced environments.
Job Tasks & Duties
· Thoroughly complete pre and post-shift duties, along with ongoing tasks during the shift.
· Deliver food from the kitchen to the appropriate tables in a timely and professional manner.
· Ensure accuracy and proper presentation of dishes before serving guests.
· Provide assistance to servers by refilling water, bread baskets, and condiments as needed.
· Promptly clear and reset tables after guests depart.
· Assist with banquet and buffet setup, ensuring stations are fully stocked and organized.
· Keep server stations stocked with necessary supplies throughout service.
· Remove soiled dishes and glassware from tables, transporting them to the dishwashing area.
· Clear and replace soiled linen, ensuring tables are properly reset.
· Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and common areas.
· Collect trash from dining areas and dispose of it properly after each meal period.
· Clean up spills and broken service ware promptly to ensure guest safety.
· Maintain clean and polished silverware and service items.
· Clean and store child high chairs and booster seats after use.
· Attend pre-shift (line-up) and post-shift meetings to stay informed about menu changes and service updates.
· Move tables and chairs as needed to accommodate guest seating arrangements.
· Assist in packaging take-out orders and delivering them to the designated pickup area, ensuring order accuracy.
· Uphold club policies regarding alcohol service, assisting managers and staff in compliance efforts.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the F&B Manager(s).
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies, and Expectations:
· Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management.
· Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a high-paced environment.
· Understanding of menu items, buffet options, and service protocols.
· Ability to learn members’ names and preferences to provide a personalized experience.
· Basic knowledge of wine and spirits is a plus.
· Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously for long periods.
· Frequent bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
· Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
· Perform continuous repetitive motions, such as carrying trays and polishing silverware.
Work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
