Role Overview: We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Bar Back to join our team at the Country Club of Detroit. As a Bar Back, you will be responsible for supporting the bartenders and ensuring the smooth operation of all bar areas. Your role is critical in maintaining the high standard of service we offer to our members and guests.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Assist bartenders in setting up and cleaning the bar area before and after service
- Restock liquor, beer, and wine as needed throughout the shift
- Clean and organize glassware, utensils, and other bar equipment
- Ensure that all bar supplies are fully stocked at all times
- Monitor the inventory levels of bar supplies and notify the bar manager when supplies are running low
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including wiping down the bar and bar equipment
- Assist in opening and closing duties
- Provide exceptional customer service to our members and guests
- Perform other duties as assigned by the bar manager or supervisor
Requirements:
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to communicate with individuals from different backgrounds
- Previous experience working in a bar or restaurant preferred
- Must be at least 17 years of age or older
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Ability to lift heavy items such as kegs and cases of liquor
- Knowledge of basic bar equipment and tools
