Position Description Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to fulfill our Communications Coordinator position. The Communications Coordinator is responsible for creating and managing the content of our monthly newsletter, website, signage, menus, calendars, brochures, emails, videos, and more. Produces and coordinates the development of communications for the purpose of serving Members by communicating and marketing Club events, food and beverage events, programs and services. Manages the branding through all touch points of the Clubs business including newsletter, website, electronic media and digital signage. This position works closely with all departments to produce club communications that are high quality, accurate, complete, attractive, and timely for our Club members. Will be responsible for special projects and assignments as directed by the Membership Director.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities
- Responsible for the following structured pieces and ensuring timely changes to ensure they remain packed with relevant information: Web pages, Social Media planning and posting, full production of the bi-monthly Newsletter (The Breeze), weekly e-blast creation (The Happenings), Board of Directors meeting follow-up communication the Board Room Report, monthly Employee Update newsletter, posters, signage, menu changes, electronic boards around the Club Facilities, table tents, handouts and take away items, business cards, consolidation of all departmental e-blast information, member and employee surveys, and maintenance of internal files and resources.
- Use software and technology including Microsoft Word, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Survey Monkey, and Canva to produce materials.
- Provide new and creative ways to support communications goals through changing trends and technologies.
- Work with all departments to assist with their communication needs. This includes designing graphics, creating print collateral (posters, cart signs, misc. print pieces for around the Club) e-blasts, social media, and other as directed by department.
- Generate ideas that promote the recognition of CCL and increase traffic of potential members through our facilities.
- Attend and take minutes at monthly operational committee meetings and complete a package to send to the Board of Directors.
- Facilitate the production of materials related to the annual Member Satisfaction Survey, annual meeting, and Board of Directors and committee onboarding process.
Other Accountabilities
Due to the nature of this position, it is impossible to list all things you will be exposed to or ultimately have responsibility for. Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club's operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employee partners are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed. Our goal will always be to do what is right to assist Members, guests and other employees to maximize the success and enjoyment of the Club.
Reporting Relationships
1. Reports Directly To: Membership Director
2. Working Relationships: Works closely with all Department Managers and communicates with staff, COA, BOD and Committees.
Attendance Requirements
Attendance Requirements for this position: this is a full-time exempt position requiring in excess of 40 hours and 5 plus days per week. Early mornings, late nights, evenings, weekends and holidays maybe requirements of this role.

A College Degree in English, Communications, or a closely related field strongly preferred.
