TITLE: Fitness Technician DEPARTMENT: Fitness
REPORTS TO: Director of Fitness, Assistant Director of Fitness or Aerobics Coordinator
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
JOB SUMMARY: As a Country Club of Mobile Team Member, you must be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication skills. Our members and guests expect the best. This job requires a male because it is the men’s locker room that takes the most time and upkeep and because of certain strength requirements. This person has to be able to spot someone doing a bench press as well as putting away forgotten dumbbells, which may weigh 80lbs. a piece, just as an example.
The person in this position is often left by themselves so they must be able to do any and everything as needed but nothing too inclusive when it comes to dealing with injuries or compromised populations. They would be shown the other aspects that they are unfamiliar with.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Man the front desk.
2. Answering phones.
3. Taking messages.
4. Schedule massages.
5. Answer questions regarding the use of equipment.
6. Maintain neatness in the locker rooms.
7. Stock and supply locker rooms.
8. Deliver and retrieve towels for laundry room in Clubhouse.
9. Fold and stock towels.
10. Maintain neatness in the weight room (put weights away).
11. Perform all closing and cleaning duties required to make the facility ready for the next day.
Upstairs – Weight and Aerobics Rooms
1. Sweep/steam mop aerobics room.
2. Empty ALL trash.
3. Check cups on water cooler.
4. Front drinks – re-stock if necessary.
5. Wipe down cardio.
6. Organize magazines.
7. Re-rack weights.
8. Straighten up weight/aerobics rooms.
9. Open all blinds.
10. Take dirty towels to laundry.
11. Total daily tally sheet – under David’s door.
12. Lock back door.
13. Turn off TV’s and stereo.
14. Clock out.
15. Lights and lock up.
Downstairs – Locker Rooms
1. Fold ALL towels correctly.
2. Re-stock towels.
3. Replace bar soap.
4. Fill soap dispensers.
5. Empty towel bins.
6. Empty trash cans.
7. Take trash to dumpster.
8. Check toilet tissue – extra roll.
9. Straighten and re-stock vanity.
10. Refill razors and Q-Tips.
11. Refill paper towel dispenser.
12. Refill Scope and soap.
13. Turn off steam rooms.
14. Prop open steam room door.
15. Mop wet areas and lobby.
16. Vacuum carpet.
17. Lights off and lock up.
