Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Senior Food & Beverage Manager and Assistant General Manager, the Food Runner plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for members and guests by supporting the timely delivery of food and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greet members and guests warmly, making an effort to address them by name when possible.
- Ensure prompt and accurate food delivery from the kitchen to tables, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized dining area, including clearing tables, refilling drinks, and restocking items as needed.
- Support servers in setting up tables, arranging place settings, and creating an inviting atmosphere.
- Ensure the correct food orders are delivered to the appropriate tables, paying close attention to details and special requests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, following the direction of the events team.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in all dining and service areas.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while paying attention to detail and maintaining high standards of service.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to learn and recognize member names and preferences.
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods (up to 8 hours), with the ability to bend, push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be available for morning, evening, and weekend shifts.
