The Country Club of Virginia is searching for a Poolside Café Supervisor to oversee front-of-house Poolside Café staff, ensuring service standards are met and member satisfaction is consistently achieved.
EXPECTATIONS:
- Provide platinum service while maintaining a clean and safe environment for members, guests, and staff
- Know and embrace the mission statement and platinum service basics
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Provide overall team leadership
- Schedule all FOH staff
- Continuously train staff
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, side work, and set-up of Café area
- Inspect all Café areas to ensure proper maintenance, presentation, cleanliness, and safety
- Operate point-of-sale computer system
- Maintain inventory of supplies
- Oversee inventories and control of all beer, wine, liquor, and operating supplies
- Produce cocktail menus and order beverage products according to volume and budget needs
- Assist with the service of food and beverage and clearing as needed
- Enforce Club rules, regulations, and policies
- Attend manager meetings and service/production meetings to share ideas and concerns
- Evaluate present operations and develop new ideas for the future
- Attend CCV Professional Development Seminars
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervise 15 employees
- Responsible for interviewing and selecting, training employees, planning and assigning work, rewarding and disciplining staff, addressing complaints and resolving problems, maintaining inventory, scheduling employees, and facilitating meetings
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, MS Office proficiency, and attention to detail
- Ability to produce cocktails a fast-paced environment
SCHEDULE: Shifts will vary - generally 5 shifts per week, approximately 40-50 hours. Poolside Café is open for lunch & dinner 7 days a week.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience strongly preferred
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
