Job Description:
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets. You will be responsible for handling appointments, managing phone calls, assisting with client inquiries, and providing excellent customer service. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming and smooth experience for clients and ensuring the clinic runs efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and online inquiries.
- Check clients in and out for appointments, including collecting payments.
- Maintain accurate client and pet records.
- Provide clients with information on services, pet care, and wellness.
- Ensure the waiting area and reception area are neat and organized.
- Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.
- Compassionate and empathetic toward pets and their owners.
- Basic knowledge of office software and phone systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
