Garden Center Manager

Job Summary
The Garden Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the garden center, ensuring a high level of customer service, and maintaining an organized and attractive environment for customers. This role involves managing staff, inventory, and sales while promoting a passion for gardening and outdoor living. Duties

• Supervise and train garden center staff to provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and merchandising products effectively.
• Utilize retail math to analyze sales data and make informed decisions regarding product placement and promotions.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the garden center.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored recommendations.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the garden center, ensuring all displays are visually appealing.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality products are available for customers.
• Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages collaboration and professional development among staff.

Qualifications

• A working knowledge of horticulture practices.
• Proven experience in retail management or a related field, preferably in a garden center or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of plants and plant care, and gardening techniques.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in retail math to analyze sales performance and inventory management.
• Effective communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
• A passion for gardening and outdoor living is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
