What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Foreman position at Country Farms?
As our Landscape Foreman you will:
- Responsible for leading and managing 1-2 laborers to complete outdoor landscape projects
- Scope of projects can include installation of new landscape beds, planting, trimming, weeding, edging, mulching, installing decorative stone, installing sod, etc.
- Study and understand project drawings and specifications, review plans with supervisor if needed
- Plan and organize ensuring that materials are available to complete job
- Communicate with customers to ensure a smooth installation and to retain/build strong relationships
- Work with sales and management staff to maintain efficiency and quality of project installation
- Report on project status, concerns, and recommendations with supervisor
- Complete project paperwork or digital entry to track job materials and labor hours daily
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including job sites, vehicles, and equipment
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- At least (3) years experience in the landscape industry
- Degree in horticulture or related field is preferred
- Must have valid PA driver’s license with medical card to drive vehicle 26,000 lbs or under
- Ability to tow and use equipment such as skid loader, mini excavator, tiller, edger, chain saw, weed whacker, power tools, hand tools, etc.
- Communication and problem solving skills
- Self-disciplined
Work Environment:
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs
- Will be exposed to various weather conditions
- Physical demands – will require stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting
