Job Description
Responsible for maintaining all standards of quality and productivity for the hotel as related to the Maintenance/Engineering operations.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Assist in Management: Support Chief Engineer in overseeing staff, training, and scheduling work assignments. Maintenance Operations: Supervise regular inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. Project Management: Assist in planning and managing engineering projects, including upgrades, renovations, and replacements. Troubleshooting: Lead or assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues affecting the operation of systems or equipment. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Assist in regular safety audits and ensure the team follows all safety protocols. Inventory Management: Help oversee the inventory of engineer’s tools, parts, and equipment to ensure stock levels are adequate. Team Leadership: Assist in training new maintenance technicians and other team members to improve their technical skills and efficiency. Collaboration: Work closely with all other departments (Front Desk, Housekeeping, Breakfast) to address any concerns.
Requirements and Skills:
· At least three years of maintenance experience
· Available to work flexible hours
· Able to sit, stand, and squat for extended periods of time
· Able to continuously reach, grasp, push and pull
· Knowledge of equipment, tools, and materials used in building maintenance
· General maintenance skills in plumbing, electrical, fabrication
