What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant position at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson?
Country Inn & Suites is Located on 2110 Rose Street, La Crosse WI, these 90 appointed guest room hotels, rated four stars. This position is 25 - 30 hours per week.
you would be responsible for the specific duties outlined below:
- Maintains the cleanliness of the hotel’s linen supply.
- Sorts laundry prior to washing.
- Pulls damaged and/or stained linen prior to loading the washing.
- Loads washers and dryers to recommended weights,
- Saves energy by setting dryers for proper heating and cooling times,
- Informs supervisor of any equipment failures or supply shortage
- Fold linens and uniforms properly according to garment labels, stacks or stores and required
- Completes inventory of stock as requested
- Adheres to hotel policies and procedures
- Maintains knowledge of and complies with all department policies
- Maintains cleanliness of laundry room
- Attends work on time as scheduled.
- Uses equipment and chemicals in accordance with hotel’s safety procedures.
- Adheres to all health, sanitation and safety rules and procedure.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous laundry experience preferred but not required
- Must be able to accurately follow verbal and written instructions
- Works well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and follow instructions thoroughly
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Proper lifting techniques required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, pushing or pulling objects up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work under variable temperature conditions, prolonged heat
