The Country Inn & Suites Red Wing is hiring a full-time Guest Service Supervisor to lead our Guest Services team.
The Guest Service Supervisor is responsible for the overall successful daily operation and performance of the Guest Service Department. Must be available weekends and holidays.

As a Guest Service Associate, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience at all times. You will be the first point of contact for our guests and will provide information and assistance throughout their stay. Our Guest Service Associates are the first impression our guests have with our business and it is essential that they create a positive first impression with a professional, energetic, and enthusiastic demeanor in order to provide an exceptional guest experience.
The primary responsibility of our Guest Service Supervisor is to effectively lead the Front Office by utilizing established performance standards to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests.
The essential functions of a Guest Service Supervisor position include:
- Supervise and motivate all Front Desk personnel with daily supervision to include training, and monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards to provide full guest satisfaction.
- Check and control room reservations, front office systems, supplies inventory and compliance with brand standards.
- Communicate with guests and employees both verbally and in writing to answer questions and provide clear direction.
- Act as hotel Manager on Duty in absence of General Manager or other upper Management.
- Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time.
- Assist with laundry during shift.
Requirements
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Great attention to detail
- Thorough organizational skills, proficient in accomplishing all tasks
- Considerable knowledge of computer systems for registration, reservations and backup systems
- Above average mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in hotels
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with employees and guests
- Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, some of whom will require a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy, to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
Comparable hotel size and scope of experience preferred
Note: Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
