Job Title: Head Housekeeper

Job Summary: As the Head Housekeeper at [Hotel Name], you will oversee the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation of our guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. You will lead a dedicated team of housekeepers, laundry staff, and maintenance personnel to ensure our guests experience a pristine and comfortable environment. Your role is critical in maintaining the hotel’s reputation for cleanliness and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, public area maintenance, and laundry services.
- Train, mentor, and motivate the housekeeping team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and customer service are met.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks and address any immediate needs or special requests.
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house spaces regularly to ensure adherence to cleanliness and safety standards.
- Ensure proper stock levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities; monitor inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Manage housekeeping budgets, including controlling labor costs and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Work closely with other hotel departments, such as Front Desk, Maintenance, and Management, to address guest concerns and maintain smooth operations.
- Enforce health and safety procedures, including compliance with sanitation, fire, and safety regulations.
- Handle guest complaints or special requests related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
- Assist with recruitment, hiring, and performance evaluations of housekeeping staff.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Proficiency with hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
