Job Title: Hotel Front Desk Agent
Job Summary: Laundry is an ongoing task throughout the shifts. As a hotel front desk agent, you will be the face of the hotel and responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests. You will handle guest check-in and check-out processes, answer inquiries, and assist guests with various requests to ensure their stay is comfortable and memorable. Laundry and other tasks as assigned. You must be able to multi task.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Check-In and Check-Out: Greet guests upon arrival and assist with the check-in process.
Verify guest information, assign rooms, and issue room keys.
Process payments, and handle credit card transactions accurately.
Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, policies, and services during check-in.
Guest Assistance: Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
Provide recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and services.
Arrange for transportation, tours, or other services as requested by guests.
Handle guest complaints or issues with tact and diplomacy, escalating when necessary.
Reservations and Room Assignments: Manage hotel reservations, including online bookings and phone reservations.
Ensure room availability and assign rooms based on guest preferences and special requests.
Maintain an organized system for room keys and guest information.
Communication and Coordination: Collaborate with other hotel staff, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to meet guest needs.
Relay important information to guests, such as event schedules, check-out times, and emergency procedures.
Answer telephone calls and respond to emails professionally.
Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of guest accounts and transactions.
Prepare and balance daily reports, including room occupancy and revenue.
Handle paperwork related to guest accounts, invoices, and payments.
Security and Safety: Ensure the safety and security of guests by following hotel security procedures.
Handle emergencies, such as fire alarms or medical situations, following established protocols.
Laundry: Laundry is ongoing through out all shifts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service or a front desk role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of hotel reservation systems and basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs occasionally.
