Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens and garments are laundered, dried, and pressed to meet the high standards of cleanliness and presentation required in a hotel environment. This role is essential in maintaining the overall guest experience by providing fresh and clean items promptly.
Responsibilities
- Launder, dry clean, and press various types of linens and garments according to hotel standards.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry items efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Monitor laundry supplies and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions to management.
- Adhere to safety protocols while operating laundry machinery and handling cleaning chemicals.
- Assist with inventory management of linens and uniforms as needed.
- Provide excellent service by responding promptly to requests from other hotel departments.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role within a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
